Back at the Beeb

Alan Partridge's differences with the BBC are well documented, but he set them aside for an appearance on Radio 4's Today programme last week to promote his new book Nomad. In a brief conversation with arts editor Will Gompertz (whose "statement glasses and flyaway hair" he didn't approve of), Alan talked about politics, the signifiers of Britishness ("Warm beer and cold hands ... a healthy suspicion of human rights"), the fact that travel writing is alive and well on Trip Advisor, and John Lewis cushions.
